I have severe anxiety, does anyone else have this?

I suffer from severe anxiety and mild IBS which makes me go to the toilet alot. I take immodium pretty much everyday and was on xanax but got weaned off of it as I’m only 21 and its highly addictive. I’ve tried counselling and hypnosis but no luck with them. I’m in college at the moment and everyday feels like struggle. I think people think that I have an eating disorder because I’m ALWAYS rushing to the bathroom and then I get dirty looks when I get back. Does anyone else have anxiety and how do you deal with it? I’m so sick of fighting it all day and everyday

Yes, I have anxiety as well, but I have never taken anything for it before. I hate being so nervous all the time, and feeling sick to my stomach. I am in high school, so I feel your situation. Everyone is so immature and insensitive, and it only makes the situation a whole lot worse.

I have found that a boost in confidence goes a long way, and keep telling yourself that other people’s opinions are stupid and mean nothing. Keep your head up, and don’t worry what others think. Do what you have to do, and find things that make you happy and feel good about yourself.

I’ll be in class and get really anxious for some reason, and I have a lot of trouble speaking up in class and meeting new people. And I usually freak out about everything, and take things way to seriously. I would stop taking those pills, as you said, they are highly addictive and will only cause long-term harm to your health. I too, feel like everyday is a struggle, try to find something that you look forward to everyday when you come home. For me, it’s my music and my family members. Take a deep breath every now and then, have yourself know that these people you go to college with, you will probably never see them again! And hey, I get dirty looks all the time at my school. Who cares about them, right? Don’t stop living your life. Be strong.

Good luck to you, I hope this helps. Anxiety is tough, I completely understand what you are going through.

I overcame my 43 year struggle to lose weight and overcame my IBS on TV using Hypnosis 4 of 6.
